Luella's 93rd – Pupcakes in the Park – September 12, 2015

By all accounts, the first annual Pupcakes in the Park event for Luella's 93rd was a total hit.
Enthusiastically described that way by the one account that matters most – Luella!
Who thanks you all (again & again) for MAKING her birthday what it was!

The Birthday Girl (red pants, right) is IN THE BUILDING!
Tom on one side, Dianna on the other, Luella meets her first guest (Couton),
whose guardian Annie came along to bring a little gift.

Luella sets up in her big blue throne (thanks, Drew!) – Rhodelle and Chivas bring FLOWERS . . .
and Rhodelle gets to read the card.

Luella enjoys her flowers (. . . Chivas really didn't have to do that!)
as Tom and Drew preside.

Here comes Bayley . . . with guardian Lavone!

Pupcake treats (provided by the Birthday Girl) are thanks to specialty cupcake artist Rachel Mendoza,
of Amaya's Pupcakes . . . who's replicated many of our best friends.

|
|
While it's a fun picture of everyone, the real dynamics here are happening between
Sophie and gatekeeper, Chivas, as Couton and Bayley look on.
|
|
|
|
Sophie charms Chivas in about a collie heartbeat,
and is allowed to approach the throne.
|
|
|
|
Mike tends to Sophie as Liz joins the party (center). As a dedicated volunteer with the Center for Successful Aging,
whom Dianna had contacted several years ago, Liz calls to check in on Luella almost every afternoon.

|
|
|
Luella gets a taste of professional designerwater, & of course she LOVED it!
|
|
|
|
Another Shoreline regular happens on the party. Dietrich, an old friend of Rhodelle's doesn't have his own pup,
so he was immediately sponsored by Chivas and thanked for coming by Luella.
