Here's the story:

Our local group of Vietnam Vets (VVA-218) actually owns a HUEY. And it would have been in the 4th of July parade today
Actually ~ but now instead, it will be Virtually ~ as we remember Santiago Perez, Jr., Charlie Franco, and Doug Taylor.
We dedicate this page to those special men.

Santiago was an owner of and drove the bright red truck for Thomas Towing. You'll see it near the end. He was one of us ~
as while he wasn't a Vietnam veteran, he was in the Marine Reserves. So he was always (always) there
for us ~ as he and Thomas Towing has hauled us GRATIS! ~ to so many community events over many YEARS!

Until an industrial accident took his life in early December of 2018. We miss him. The little plaque below lives in our Huey.

Charlie Franco passed on the last day of March . . . and what a loss! We're all in for Cathy ~ as soon as the virus lifts.
Doug Taylor was a chapter co-founder and our first President, long ago. He was VVA member 000301!
